Electro-Mechanical Technician (3 days on, 4 days off; NO SWING)

Location: Shawano, WI

Come join our team of skilled Electro-Mechanical Technicians! We looking to add an experienced technician to our Shawano team. In this role, you will perform preventative and reactive maintenance on printing and finishing machines, support equipment and components, and general building maintenance. Summary

Performs preventative and reactive maintenance on printing and finishing machines, support equipment and components, and general building maintenance.

Schedule

  • 12 hour work day
  • 4:00PM - 4:00AM
  • 3 consecutive days on, 4 days consecutive off (NO SWING, consistent schedule)

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible to follow all safety procedures as required by the role, and to nurture a food safety culture by adhering to all Safe Quality Foods requirements.
  • Perform regular scheduled Preventive Maintenance on printing and finishing machines, support equipment, auxiliary components, and general building maintenance.
  • Perform reactive mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair to bring down assets back online.
  • Use electrical test instruments including multimeter, amp meter, scope meter, and thermal imager to troubleshoot/repair equipment.
  • Disassemble machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.
  • Create and complete assigned work order tasks generated by the CMMS program in a safe and timely manner.
  • Document all machine malfunctions to track machine efficiency.
  • Follow safety policy and procedures to include, but not limited to, lock out-tag-out.
  • May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Properly dispose of waste ink, spent solvents, and other designated waste according to hazardous waste handling guidelines

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

  • Requires four (4) years of maintenance experience, or an associate degree in electro-mechanical technology.
  • Must have good problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred.
  • Must be able to communicate and work effectively within maintenance team and with internal customers.
  • Must be familiar with AC and DC circuits, low voltage through 480v three phase power.
  • Office software and computer navigation skills.
  • Must be able to analyze many variables and choose the most effective course of action.
  • Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict and make effective decisions under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently or as a member of a team.
  • Ability to give, receive, and analyze information.
  • Ability to meet deadlines. May be required to work some overtime.
  • Knowledge of and the ability to speak the English language fluently.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow implicit and explicit written and oral instructions.
  • Must be able to communicate and answer questions in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Requires nearly constant concentration and attention detail.
  • Ability to use hands for 100% of work time (e.g. wrenches, screw drivers, drills, etc.); and reach above shoulders for 25% of work time.
  • Ability to: stand and walk for 75% of work time; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl for 25% of work time.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds or less 30% of work time, up to 50 pounds or less 15% of work time and up to 75 pounds or less 15% of work time.
  • Ability to: see clearly at 20 inches or less, or 20 feet or more and the ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus.
  • May lift up to 100 pounds.

Working Conditions

  • Work near moving mechanical parts.
  • Nearly constant exposure to vibrations, noise and chemical odors.
  • Work in high, precarious places.
  • May work in outside weather conditions.
