Network Administrator

Department: MIS
Location: De Pere, WI

Responsible to troubleshoot network systems and recommend improvements. Collaborates with various teams and partners to drive technology strategies while maintaining a core technical networking foundation.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee architecture and performance of existing network systems. Provide tactical and strategic input on overall network planning and related projects
  • Monitor systems and alerts, perform issue identification and resolution
  • Evaluate and oversee the security of the current network and recommend ways to improve
  • Oversee and manage enterprise-wide wireless solution
  • Manage Next Gen firewalls
  • Perform regular scheduled network system patching as well as emergency patching for critical zero-day threats
  • Ensure thorough documentation for all aspects of network/software configuration and processes for daily support and disaster recovery
  • Assist in maintaining Disaster Recovery needs for Belmark
  • Manage and maintain the company's data wiring, switches, firewalls, WAN circuits
  • Work with vendors to provide secure access solutions to their equipment onsite at Belmark
  • Participate in IT major incident, change, problem management and disaster recovery processes
  • Understand emerging and current technology and identify solutions to meet business needs
  • Support IT team members troubleshooting issues, and support ticket requests
  • Responsible to follow all safety procedures as required by the role, and to nurture a food safety culture by adhering to all Safe Quality Foods requirements
  • May perform other duties as assigned by manager

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

  • Requires a minimum of an Associate degree in computer science or related field
  • At least 3 years of network management/network administration experience
  • Strong understanding of DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP including IP Addressing and sub-netting, network connectivity, LAN (Local Area Network) and WAN architectures, etc
  • VMware vSphere administration experience
  • Experience with Juniper and FortiGate are a bonus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, ever-changing environment
  • Ability to work independently and manage caseload, as well as collaborate on team projects
  • Knowledge of and the ability to effectively utilize the English language
  • Ability to stand for 25% of work time; walk for 25% of work time; and sit for 50% of work time
  • Ability to lift: up to 10 pounds or less 25% of work time, up to 25 pounds or less for 10% of work time and up to 50 pounds or less 10% of work time
  • Ability to reach above shoulders 10% of work time
  • Ability to see clearly at 20 inches or less
  • Ability to work around machinery
  • Regular attendance is required, may be required to work some overtime
