Production Support - Pressure Sensitive (2nd & 3rd Shift) - Plant 1

Location: De Pere, WI

Are you ready to dive into the world of printing and packaging, getting hands-on with top-notch technology? Do you thrive on overcoming daily challenges and smashing your targets?

Come join our team in the Pressure Sensitive division! We are seeking Production Support individuals who can help in areas that have the most urgent business needs This position is a hybrid of two (2) different positions (Ink Technician/Plate Mounter). As Production Support you will learn to be proficient at adjusting inks, assisting press operators to adjust color, mounting plates, and filing plates.

*A pre-employment drug test and a background check are required if offered the position.*

Schedule:

  • 2nd shift hours are from 2:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. (midnight), Monday - Thursday
  • 3rd shift hours are from 6:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m., Sunday, 12:00 a.m.-6:00 a.m., Monday - Thursday
  • Overtime after 36 hours!

Pay:

  • $21 - $23 per Hour. The hourly rate for this position is determined by the level of the role, relevant experience, and may incorporate shift differentials, ensuring fair compensation that reflects both expertise and responsibilities entailed.
  • The shift differential for 2nd shift is $1.00 more per hour
  • The shift differential for 3rd shift is $2.00 more per hour

What will I do in this role?

  • Responsible to follow all safety procedures as required by the role, and to nurture a food safety culture by adhering to all Safe Quality Foods requirements.
  • Mix ink using appropriate formula and match to set color standard. Amount mixed should only be enough to run job.
  • Utilizing Ink Queue System, deliver required ink, varnish to press.
  • Proof inks to established DE target using hand proofer and Measure Color system.
  • Adjust colors on press to match set color standard.
  • Ensure that the next shift presses have ink according to the schedule to reduce the amount of downtime.
  • Mount plates accurately, according to rewind position.
  • Ensure all plates for a job are mounted in a timely manner, according to the schedule, to keep presses running at all times.
  • Ensure that the next shift presses have a least one job mounted according to the schedule to reduce the amount of downtime.
  • Wash plates from completed jobs.
  • Maintain clean plate wash area and plate mounting area.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires education equivalent to two (2) years of high school.
  • Knowledge of and ability to effectively utilize the English language.
  • Ability to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and follow simple written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, decimals and fractions.
  • Ability to operate a computer.
  • Ability to: stand and walk for 90% of work time; and stoop kneel, crouch or crawl for 10% of work time.
  • Ability to: see clearly at 20 inches or less; observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point; judge distances and spatial relationships; and to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus.
  • Ability to: use hands for 100% of work time and reach above shoulders for 25% of work time
  • Ability to lift: 10 pounds or less 25% of work time; 25 pounds or less 30% of work time; 50 pounds or less 35% of work time; and 100 pounds or less 10% of work time.
